Carnegie Hall Listening Adventure:  Go on a fun Instrument Safari Adventure to collect all the instruments in the orchestra.  This game features Britten's The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra.

 

Classics for Kids:  Have fun learning about composers on this website. Listen to a story about the composer, play games, download worksheets, and more!

 

DSO Kids:  Visit the music room of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra to learn about instruments and composers and listen to music.

 

New York Philharmonic Kids:  This website has a variety of fun activities, including instructions for making unique musical instruments at home.

 

How a Grand Piano Is Made:  Watch this 10-minute video to see how a grand piano is made.


"Flight of the Bumblebee" Ensemble:  Watch this video of the 5 Browns, a piano team of siblings, play an exciting classical piece. It's a "10-hand, 5-pianos" ensemble.

 

From the Top:  This site celebrates student classical musicians. Listen to radio broadcasts and watch the PBS television show. Also check out the fun "Extras" tab which features creative interviews, fun composer factoids, and a question/answer section.

 

Keeping Score:  High school students will enjoy this website by the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra. Explore a variety of composers and classical masterpieces through presentations incorporating videos, pictures, and articles.
